Primary Antibodies
Primary Antibodies
Primary antibodies recognize and bind to unique epitopes with high affinity and specificity across a broad spectrum of biomolecules. They exist as high specificity monoclonal antibodies and/or as polyclonal antibodies. These antibodies are used for detecting specific biomolecules or measuring changes. GenScript offers over 1000 highly specific monoclonal and polyclonal primary antibodies, covering major areas of life science research, such as H1N1 Antibodies, Neuroscience Antibodies for Alzheimer's Parkinson's and Huntington's disease, Cytokine and Growth Factor Antibodies, Control Antibodies including isotype and loading control antibodies, Cell Marker Antibodies, and more. These primary antibodies are validated for multiple applications, including Sandwich ELISA and western blot.
GenScript also offers more than 200 cytokines, chemokines and growth factors, for your cell signaling and stem cell research demands with key features such as low endotoxin levels (<1.0 EU/μg) and high purity ( >95% ).
Immune Checkpoint Antibodies
Immune checkpoint-blocking antibodies that activate the immune system to fight cancer are becoming an important method of cancer treatment. CTLA-4 was the first immune checkpoint target and ipilimumab, an anti CTLA-4 antibody drug, was approved in 2011 for clinical use. The PD-1 receptor and its ligand PD-L1 have shown great promise as therapeutic targets in a variety of malignancies. The combined- target immunotherapy may have a higher level of effect in the future.
To facilitate this hot immunotherapy research field, GenScript provides immune checkpoint antibodies and immune checkpoint proteins for many kinds of applications. Products for more targets are coming in succession.
Application
- Positive control for antibody drug early development
- Validate cell line development
- Facilitate assay development

Anti-idiotype Antibody Products
Anti-idiotype antibodies (anti-ID Abs) are specific to the idiotype (variable region) of another antibody. This feature could be used to measure therapeutic antibody concentration in pre-clinical and clinical studies. An antibody response to the antibody drug might occur and result in devastating consequences in the body. Anti-idiotype antibodies are also commonly used as a reference standard for antibody drug immunogenicity(immune response, IR) studies.
Due to the approvals of the biosimilar products, patients could enjoy an affordable alternative to the innovator drugs. GenScript has generated various types of ready to use anti-idiotype antibodies against blockbuster drugs to support the development of biosimilars. We can also develop custom anti-idiotype antibody service for your new antibody drug development. Learn more »

Control Antibodies
Isotype Control Antibodies
The selection of an appropriate isotype control is key for flow cytometry experiments. Isotype control antibodies that have no relevant specificity can distinguish non-specific "background" staining from specific antibody staining. Three main factors contribute to the levels of background staining associated with a primary antibody: a) binding to Fc receptors on target cells, b) non-specific protein interactions with cellular proteins, lipids, or carbohydrates, and c) cell autofluorescence. All of these factors vary greatly depending on the target cell type and the isotype of the primary antibody. Therefore, in order to accurately determine the level of specific staining by the primary antibody, isotype controls need to be matched to the specific primary antibodies being used. GenScript offers a series of isotype control antibodies that can be used in your research.
Loading Control Antibodies
Loading control proteins are known to be constitutively and stably expressed at high levels in almost all tissues and cells. Housekeeping proteins, such as GAPDH, tubulin, and actin, represent some of the well-known loading control proteins.
Loading control antibodies are used in Western blotting for two main purposes:
- To estimate relative amounts of total protein loaded in each lane. (This information is needed to determine if the difference in levels of the protein of interest in different samples is due to loading and transfer errors or to real changes in protein expression.)
- To troubleshoot the Western blotting procedure.
GenScript offers a wide selection of polyclonal and monoclonal loading control antibodies for GAPDH, α-tubulin, and β-actin for several species. HRP- and biotin-conjugated versions of these antibodies are also available.

Phospho Specific Antibodies
Phosphorylation/dephosphorylation is one of the major signaling mechanisms used to modulate the functional properties of proteins involved in gene expression, cell adhesion, cell proliferation, cell differentiation, and the cell cycle. The determination of the state of phosphorylation is highly important for studying the function of a given protein. Phospho-specific antibodies, which can discriminate between the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms, have emerged as demonstrated assets in the study of signal transduction pathways. These novel tools enable qualitative and quantitative detection of phosphorylated proteins without the risks associated with using radioactivity.
GenScript's phospho-specific antibodies are affinity-purified and do not cross react with non-phosphorylated forms of proteins. Phospho-specific antibodies detect only the phosphorylated forms of proteins in a complex protein mixture within cells. They recognize the phosphorylated amino acids in the context of the surrounding amino acid sequence. Using a combination of pan-antibody (that recognizes both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms of the protein) and phospho-specific antibody, it is possible to assess the degree of phosphorylation for any given protein.
GenScript offers phospho-specific/pan antibody pairs that are suitable for many tasks, including Western blot analysis, ELISA, and immunocytochemical assays. We also provide blocking peptides for most of our phospho-specific and pan antibodies. These peptides can be used to confirm that the observed signal is due to the antibody's interaction with target antigen, as opposed to non-specific binding.

Influenza A (H1N1) virus, a subtype of influenza virus A, is the most common cause of influenza in humans. A strain of swine-origin H1N1 was responsible for the 2009 flu pandemic. On April 29th, 2009, the influenza pandemic alert of H1N1 flu was raised from phase 4 to phase 5. Subsequently on June 11th, 2009, the alert progressed to phase 6 as announced by WHO. In response to this severe situation, GenScript will offer whatever resources available to help researchers contain H1N1 virus.
At GenScript, we produce high-quality bio-reagents, including highly sensitive and specific antibodies, genes, peptides, and proteins, in a flexible and timely manner. Specifically, high quality antibodies can be readily employed in the detection of influenza A virus through routine immunoassays (Western blotting). Various epitope antibodies are also available for virus characterization. Please select the H1N1 antibody you would like to place your order!

Cell Marker/Cell Surface Antigen Antibodies
Cell markers, also known as cell surface antigens, serve as monograms to help identify and classify cells. The majority of them are molecules or antigens within cell's plasma membrane. Unique to different cell types, there exist specific combinations of markers or antigens. These molecules serve not only as markers but they also have key functional roles. It is possible to diagnose diseases or direct treatment by identifying which molecules are present.
GenScript offers a wide variety of antibodies relevant to cell markers/cell
surface antigens of various species, including human, mouse, and more.

GPCR Antibodies
G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are
found only in eukaryotes, including yeast, plants, choanoflagellates, and
animals. They constitute a large protein family of transmembrane receptors that
have the ability to sense molecules outside the cell and activate intracellular
signal transduction pathways resulting in a variety of cellular responses. The
ligands that bind and activate these receptors vary in size from small
molecules to large proteins and include light-sensitive compounds, odors,
pheromones, hormones and neurotransmitters. GPCRs are involved in many types of
disease and serve as targets for almost half of all modern medicinal
drugs.
GenScript offers a wide selection of antibodies to help accelerate your GPCR
research.

Cytokine and Growth Factor Antibodies
Cytokines and growth factors are a category of signaling molecules active in cellular communication. They are proteins of vital importance to the development and function of both the innate and adaptive immune response. Cytokines and growth factors are often secreted by immune cells that have encountered a pathogen, thereby activating and recruiting further immune cells to enhance the immune response. Cytokines and growth factors are also involved in several developmental processes during embryogenesis.
GenScript offers a wide selection of antibodies that can be used in your cytokine and growth factor research. We offer various capture and detection antibody pairs for your quantitative ELISAs.
